Nonverbal communication is important in being able to signal to others our inner thoughts.


Nonverbal communication is important in being able to signal our inner thoughts. Anecdotal evidence and clinical research shows that when we can “read” other people’s nonverbal expressions easily, we are more likely to trust and like them.


Vocal bursts are similar to the physiological reaction of blushing in that they are uncontrolled, spontaneous expressions of emotion.


For those of us who seek to better understand the signals we send or to better learn to read signals, this article might prove an interesting and under-considered aspect of nonverbal communication.
