GROUP THERAPY

The Support You Need – Together.

Mind Over Matters group therapy is a process where one or two therapists meet with a group of 6 to 12 people to target a specific concern.

The group's topic will depend if the matter is mental health itself, the type of support group, or if it is a court-mandated one; it will differ with the need of each person.

We offer group therapy for:

Each group therapy program varies dependent on target and population. Some groups are specifically based on gender, age, culture, or even language. Groups may also be open-ended or closed. In an open-ended group, participants come and go as they need, while in a closed group the same amount of people participate from start to finish.

IT CAN BE A LITTLE OVERWHELMING IN THE BEGINNING, BUT OFTEN IS VERY REWARDING FOR MEMBERS.

In group therapy, you also can learn new skills such as decreasing anxiety while meeting new people, or other social skills. Being in a group setting can be a little overwhelming in the beginning, but it can turn out to be very rewarding for members.

You may choose to participate in only group therapy sessions, or you may combine individual and group therapy sessions. Talk to your therapist about what may work better for you. If you are not sure if group therapy is something that would be worthwhile for you, please reach out to us with any questions or concerns so that we can help you make the most informed decision for you.
